FABULOUS, SUPER-CLEAN B&B
“Everything nice said on this forum (Trip Advisor) is absolutely true. This really is a fabulous 1st Class B&B. My family of 5 flew in late (past 10pm), and it didn’t take long to get to this B&B in a quiet residential area in the suburbs guided by our GPS. We were greeted warmly by Helen, and shown to our rooms. To be more accurate, we actually had the whole upstairs to ourselves. As the bathroom inter-connects the 2 bedrooms, only 1 booking is taken at a time – and guests can privately enjoy a very comfortable living lounge with TV & DVDs, balcony, dining nook and pantry with beverage-making stuff (coffee, tea Milo etc), biscuits, cereals, jams, utensils, toaster, kettle and microwave oven. The fridge was stocked with yogurt, milk, juice, cold water, bread, butter and a large attractive cut-fruit platter with strawberries, mango, kiwi, cantaloupe and watermelon. Everything was spotlesslessly clean and looked new. There were even orchids on the very fluffy towels, and chocolates on the bed. The rooms had both fan & air-con, and we had a good rest on the comfy beds.
The next day Helen cooked us a very hearty English breakfast before we left for Margaret River. I’d love to stay here again and can’t recommend this B&B highly enough!”

LUXURY ACCOMMODATION
“Me, my wife and grown up daughter stayed for 6 nights at Como B&B. After an 18 hour flight from the UK, arriving at 2am we were delighted to find that the accommodation fully lived up to its description on the internet. We were tired and wanted to sleep. I often feel that you can’t beat your own bed but I have to say that these beds at least matched ours. The whole accommodation is comfortable, kept impecably clean and tastefully furnished. This is much more than a B&B it is a mini apartment (actually it is rather spacious). When my wife and/or daughter wanted to go for a lie down in the bedroom I was able to use the lounge or terrace (exclusive to the current occupant) to read or watch television without fear of disturbing them. There is a kitchen area with fridge, microwave and cooking utensils in which guests can prepare their own meals should they wish. The bathroom is large and spacious with a bath, separate shower cubicle and separate toilet. The cooked breakfast was to die for (I alternated between full english and scrambled egg with smoked salmon on toast but could have had an omlette or pancakes should I have wished) and I know my wife enjoyed her daily cappucino.
Our Host Helen was extremely helpful and friendly without being intrusive. She had helpful advice on places to visit and local public transport. She kindly ran us in her car to some local restaurants on our first evening so that we could orientate ourselves and had a choice of where to eat.
The accommodation itself is ideally situated on the outskirts of Perth. The nearest railway station is a 10-15 minute walk away and the train into central Perth takes 6 minutes. We travelled everywhere by public transport and visited Perth Zoo, Fremantle and Cottesloe beach.
I researched a number of different accommodations on the internet in and around Perth before settling on Como B&B and am glad that I did. For me and my family this was equivalent to 5 star accommodation and the best Bed and Breakfast accommodation I have ever stayed in either in the UK or abroad (and I have stayed in a few!)

FIRST EXPERIENCE AT A B&B & IT WAS WONDERFUL
“It was my first time visiting Perth and first time staying at a B&B. Helen answered all my pre-booking queries instantly & professionally. I feel welcomed even before staying at her place. My family stayed for 2 nights at Como B & B.
The bathroom has heater which was great as we live in S’pore & not used to the cold. Flowers in the bathroom was a nice touch.
The breakfast is delicious – do try the big breakfast & crossant with ham! Lots of fruits, cereals, milk, juices and beverage available. End of each day, we find a sweet surprise on our bed – nougat on our first night & chocolate the next. I felt at home because the shampoo, body foam, moisturiser, cosmetic facial wipes etc are all family sized. Helen is truly generous.
My family & I stayed at 2 other B & Bs while in Perth city & Margaret River & nothing compares to Como B & B”

WONDERFUL RELAXED STAY WITH THOUGHTFUL ATTENTIVE HOSTSst.
“Helen made my stay most enjoyable; her consideration, the little extras and wonderful breakfasts gives this place a personal touch that in my view sets its value way above any hotel. If you want a quiet, relaxed stay somewhere not to far from Perth this is a great place.”

LOOK NO FURTHER
“We stayed for 3 nights and the cold Perth weather was more than compensated by our host Helen’s warm hospitality!.
Rooms were neat and impeccably clean. It truly felt like a home away from home. As she only accepts one booking at any one time, total privacy is ensured. She’s very detailed too – she provided a basket of toys for our 20month old toddler to his utmost delight.
There is a beautiful park just across the road with a playground for the kids. We loved it.
A gem tucked in the suburbs whilst only a 10 min drive to Perth city. Would I recommend or stay again – absolutely!!!
If you want quiet surrounds yet close to the city, warm hospitality, a home away from home and travelling with kids particularly – look no further, this is it!”

A GREAT EXPERIENCE
“My wife and I spent 3 nights at Como B&B with our four adult children. Our first experience at a B&B as we usually stay in apartments or hotels. We were in Perth to attend a wedding and the experience at Como B&B was the best. Ease of parking, friendly and helpful hosts, breakfasts to die for, all in a first class and comfortable environment”

“EXCELLENT BED AND BREAKFAST”
“I had to find somewhere at short notice with limited hotel availability. I could not find fault with this place. The room and bathroom is extremely comfortable, and would be great if you are staying with family or as a group. The highlight to me was the breakfast – lovely, and nice to be able to sit outside on the balcony with a paper and fresh fruit supplied by Helen. Recommended if the short distance from the city is not an issue for you.” 13th March 2011. Canberra Australia.

“WONDERFUL B & B – GENUINE HOSPITALITY”
“We stayed three nights at this splendid location. Inspite of our very early arrival, Helen our genuine host gave us a warm welcome and let us stay in the private part of her house until our rooms were ready. Breakfast was very good and ample, the rooms were comfortable, clean, well decorated and furnished. Even without a car it’s easy to get into the city as the train station is only a ten minute walk through the nearby park”. 8th March 2011. Cologne Germany.

“FIVE STAR”
“Fantastic service equal to that on any 5* hotel. Great location between Fremantle and Perth and conveniently close to public transport links. Best sleep I have ever had, when travelling away from home. Nothing to dislike….will be my first port of call when visiting Perth area again”. 13th Feb 2011. Michael, Malvern UK.

“HOME FROM HOME”
“I am a regular guest at Como Bed and Breakfast – and it’s a great place to stay. Imagine having your own balcony, overlooking the park, cooked breakfast and a great nights sleep – all for the same price as a motel room on the highway!” 1st Feb 2011. Albany W.A.

“FIRST CLASS WITH ATTENTION TO DETAIL”
“My wife & I have just returned to the UK following a superb 3 week holiday in Australia. We have visited Australia on several occasions, travelled extensively, and staying in a range of hotels, self-catering apartments & holiday chalets. For this trip we decided to base ourselves in Perth (To visit friends, attend a wedding & take-in the wineries of the Swan Valley). The exchange rate curtailed our budget & forced us to consider a range of accommodation options. Following our Internet searches we decided to stay at the Como B&B in Perth.

On arrival we were met by our genial hosts Helen & Don who greeted us with a cheese & wine platter & immediately made us feel very welcome.  The accommodation was extensive & consisted of:  2 double bedrooms, a self contained lounge/kitchenette & separate house bathroom. Our fridge was continually stocked with fresh fruit, a selection of juices & yoghurts. These options were also supplemented by a comprehensive breakfast menu which was delightfully served by Helen each morning on our private balcony.

In our opinion, the attention to detail was ‘first class’, eclipsing the service offered by many of the 4/5 star hotels that we have stayed in. Our holiday was considerably enhanced by our choice of accommodation & Helen & Don’s hospitality; which we highly recommend to any prospective guests. ” Ray & Lesley B.  North Yorkshire UK.
